Jumbo Ventures hosts Fireside Chats that bring together alumni, founders, and investors to share their journeys in entrepreneurship and venture capital. These sessions are designed to be open, conversational, and inspiring, whether in the form of panels, interviews, lectures, workshops or casual discussions.
Reflecting on his experience of getting fired in 2002, David began writing books, speaking, and advising companies on aligning marketing with modern buying behaviors. This lead him to publish 12 books that have in total sold over a million copies, including "Marketing the Moon" which he shared stories about creating during his fireside chat. He also talked about his experiences of presenting in over 40 countries and how he has transitioned in his career to become an independent advisor and investor of emerging companies.
During Sean's fireside chat, he reflected on his experiences as Director of Software Engineering for the New England Patriots and how his expertise and passion for sports lead him to start Notemeal (a nutrition software platform for athletes). He then talked about how Notemeal got acquired by Teamworks and how he was able to transition from a startup environment to working on a team as the Head of Engineering to build the operating system for their Sports and Tactical division.
