Carol Denning is one of Jumbo Venture's Faculty Advisor. She serves as the Assistant Director at the Derby Entrepreneurship Center where she develops strategies for events and objectives for the Entrepreneurship Program. Her expertise includes leading business plan competitions, seminars, lectures, workshops, and events. She is a passionate supporter of entrepreneurship education at Tufts and brings great experience and insight to our team.
Jack Derby is a faculty advisor for Jumbo Ventures. He's a Professor teaching Entrepreneurial Marketing and and the Science of Sales in the Gordon Institute, and he has taught at Tufts since 2007. Professor Derby also teaches undergraduates and graduate students at MIT, and coincided with his teaching, he is the president of Derby Management, which provides strategic planning, sales, and marketing consulting to emerging and middle market companies. Professor Derby also is a General Partner at Converge Ventures and is a director on six corporate boards, and prior to forming Derby Management, Jack Derby served as CEO of Mayer Electronics, president of CB Sports, president of Litton Industries Medical Systems, CEO of Datamedix, and EVP of Becton Dickinson Medical Systems.
